Music for the quarantined soul
A podcast hosted by Clifton Flett and Cam Bennet, 2 music aficionados from Dauphin, Manitoba. This was born out of the Coronavirus crisis of 2020. We invite someone to give us their 5 albums that are their go to’s; their “stranded on desert island” albums; the ones that they know all the songs, all the lyrics. And we talk about what’s so special about them. And we invite others to listen to them. We suggest a deep cut from the album. We find their most embarrassing album buy. You listen on your own time.
In the spirit of social distancing, all voices are recorded independently, in their own homes.

Finally, Season 2 is here. The guys have had Bill Acevedo on the guest list for a long time. Clifton's been camping and Cam's been pulling carpet and painting. A summer hiatus if you will. This episode the guys talk to Bill Acevedo, a former Dauphinite and musician. (he's not a former musician... ;) ) BIll decides to pick 5 new albums to dig deep on, rather than 5 classic albums. His picks are
Kendrick Lamar - To Pimp a Butterfly David Bowie - Darkstar Father John Misty - Pure Comedy Béla Fleck and Toumani Diabaté - The Ripple Effect Corridor- Junior and rather than an embarrassing album, BIll went with a 'guilty pleasure". Who doesn't love a little Air Supply. Check out the podcast at |
